Empowerment of women entrepreneurs in the HORECA sector

Women of Regional Greece

The WHEN team launched in 2023 a large field study of women from small towns and rural areas of Greece, with the aim of exploring the particular needs, challenges, obstacles and opportunities women have to manage during their educational and professional course. Our goal is to build on the findings that will emerge, to propose & design policies and tools that will strengthen the participation of women from every corner of Greece in work and lifelong learning.

WHEN conducted the survey “Paternity & Parental Leaves - Aspects of the gender gap in (unpaid) care”, with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Greece and Cyprus, with the aim of outlining the barriers that prevent men from making use of parental leaves, investigating the gender gap in the use of paternity leave and formulating policy proposals to encourage wider use of such leaves by fathers.

Climate change & gender equality in the Mediterranean and Greece | Part 2

WHEN, in collaboration with SUSTAINABLEWE and qed, and with the support of PPC, Henkel, Sani/Ikos Group, Quest, Lush Fund and MedWomen Fund, implemented the second part of its study on the effects of climate crisis in the lives of women in Greece, but also the role of women in planning and implementing sustainability strategies.
