Period poverty and breaking the stigma
Period poverty remains one of the most widespread social taboos and continues to be a basis for direct and indirect discrimination against millions of women. That is why WHEN actively takes action in the public debate, claiming the rights that are due to people who have period:
From tackling period poverty and ending the period tax of 24% on menstrual products, to the establishment of period leave, breaking the stigma and recognizing period as an issue of health, dignity and social justice, our team is at the forefront of informing, raising awareness and advocacy against inequalities and exclusions, with valuable partners on our side!
Inclusivity Lounge
The Inclusivity Lounge is an initiative by WHEN (previously known as Women On Top), implemented with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Athens and under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Demography and Family Policy and Gender Equality. Its aims to bring the issues of gender equality, diversity, and inclusive leadership to the heart of the most important (and often completely male-dominated) conferences, meetings and decision-making hubs in Greece.
