Let’s break the stigma of menstruation in school classrooms!
WHEN, in partnership with Always, a Procter & Gamble brand, is organizing a specially designed workshop for school teachers as part of the #StopPeriodShaming initiative, which aims to combat the menstrual stigma.
The workshop will take place in person on Wednesday 7/5 at 18:00-20:00, at WHEN Hub, Sokratous 29, in the center of Athens.
The aim of the workshop is to inform, raise awareness and educate teachers, so that they can cultivate school environments where menstruation is treated as a normal biological process, free of stigma and prejudice.
Based on the new #StopPeriodShaming guide, the workshop will provide science-based information about menstruation and deconstruct stigma, debunking the most common myths about periods.Through interactive exercises, participants will examine social perceptions, recognise the influence of stigma and acquire practical tools and methods to empower their students and promote a school environment free of prejudice and taboos.
Attendance is free and pre-registration is required.
