WHEN (previously known as Women On Top), in partnership with Always, a Procter & Gamble brand, presents the new #StopPeriodShaming guide, an initiative that aims to combat menstrual stigma.
The guide provides scientifically based information and debunks widespread myths about the period, to give young women, as well as parents, educators and people interested in gender equality, practical tools to empower women and girls and combat stigma.
Menstruation remains one of the most pervasive social taboos, affecting the confidence and daily lives of millions of women. The #StopPeriodShaming guide has been created to help create a new reality, in which periods are seen as a normal biological process rather than a source of shame, helping to create a more inclusive society.
