Transparency and equal pay: What is changing and what are the employees’ rights?
  • Have you heard about the new European Directive on transparency and equal pay but don’t know what it means exactly for you?
  • Do you suspect that you are not paid equally to other people who do work of equal value to you in the same company?
  • Do you know your rights in relation to equal pay and your own role in achieving it?

On April 29, WHEN is organizing a free 2-hour training seminar to inform employees about the rights arising from the incorporation of Directive (EU) 2023/970 on transparency and equality in salaries. The seminar focuses on employees in private sector companies and organizations, and aims to foster individuals’ understanding of the new regulation and the basic principles of pay transparency, so that they can effectively exercise the rights that ensure, within the framework of each organization, equal pay.

The seminar is practical and interactive and focuses on the following topics:

  • Basic rights to pay transparency -who is protected by the new institutional framework
  • Basic concepts & principles of pay equality
  • How the right of access to information on pay is exercised in practice
  • Recognition of direct and indirect discrimination and systemic inequalities.
  • Pay transparency before, during and after recruitment.
  • The concept of joint evaluation and what it means for employees
  • Employee rights in cases of retaliation
  • A practical guide to steps when there is a suspicion of inequality
  • The role of employees in shaping equal pay and transparency policies
