This guide was created as part of the #StopPeriodPoverty program, a collaboration between WHEN, It’s Just Period, the Deon Policy Institute, and with the support of Lidl Hellas. The aim of the program is to address period poverty and stigma in Greece, ensuring that every woman, girl, or person who menstruates has access to basic products, so that their daily hygiene, education, and social participation are not limited.
Menstruation is something completely natural. And yet, for many of us, it remains an uncomfortable topic, something we either avoid altogether or don’t know how to approach. This guide was created for exactly this reason: to help parents of children of all ages talk about menstruation with calmness, simplicity, and honesty. And most importantly, without the anxiety of saying “the wrong thing”.
The guide does not aim to “teach”, but rather to offer food for thought and make these conversations a little easier. We would be happy for you to read it and share your thoughts with us!
