Maria lives in Athens. She studied law at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and obtained her Master’s degree in Economic Law in France. She works as in-house Legal Counsel. She has extensive experience and expertise in the field of business law and commercial transactions, and she is interested in the field of technology law and Artificial Intelligence (AI). At the same time, she is active in the field of art and writing. Her poems have been published in literary magazines and websites for art and poetry. In October 2022, her first poetry collection was published by Iolkos Publications and the publication of her second book is expected.
She is actively involved in volunteering, and she is also a member of the volunteer team of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. Through her participation in the WHEN volunteer writing team and combining her love for writing, she wishes to contribute to the organization's vision and strong social impact, by highlighting issues of social awareness, especially in the field of gender equality and inclusion. In her free time, she engages in physical exercise, music, poetry and literature, theater, cinema, traveling and hiking in nature.
