Konstantina Soubenioti is an early childhood educator, project manager and co-founder of EQUITERRA, a Larissa-based organisation focused on education, equality, sustainability and community empowerment. She has professional experience in both early childhood education and facilitating activities for children and parents, as well as in the design and management of European projects. She works at a kindergarten in Larissa, combining her day-to-day educational practice with the coordination of European projects, from proposal writing and partnership development to activity implementation, reporting and dissemination of results.
Her professional background includes experience in both formal and non-formal education settings, as well as in early childhood education centres and museums in Greece and Ireland. She is particularly interested in creating creative and inclusive learning environments, as well as experiential learning opportunities for young children and their families. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Thessaly and a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences, specialising in Creative Learning Environments and Play. Through EQUITERRA, she designs and implements initiatives and projects that connect education with the community and bring members of the local community closer together, with a particular emphasis on experiential activities for women, parents, children and families.
She believes in the power of communities and meaningful partnerships as a means of fostering connection, solidarity and greater opportunities for women. Through her involvement in the WHEN Larissa Community, she aims to actively contribute to creating an open, inclusive and supportive network where women and people of diverse gender identities in the city can come together, share experiences and knowledge, grow, empower one another and develop new collaborations.
