Anna Varna is a teacher of English language. She has worked in almost all educational settings in state and private education. Nowadays she is the principal of a small town school in the Region of Thessaly, the 1st Primary School of Agia. She has also worked at the European Commission in Brussels as a seconded National Expert. Her job there involved organising language training for European officials and that’s where she learned a lot of things about how adults learn as well as how hard it is to immigrate to a new country.
Today she is back to Larissa. She is still interested in fighting against discrimination and working with others towards an equal and inclusive society. In her free time she walks and she reads, occasionally at the same time.
