The 3rd cycle of the program focuses specifically on <strong>media literacy<\/strong> and the way in which Mass Media, advertising, digital content and social networks contribute to the <strong>formation of perceptions around gender, identities and social roles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The manual aims to fill an <strong>existing and documented gap in educational reality<\/strong>: while children and adolescents are constantly exposed to media content, schools do not systematically provide them with the tools to understand, critically evaluate and question it. The content that influences their <strong>attitudes<\/strong>, <strong>expectations<\/strong> and <strong>perceptions<\/strong> is not primarily what is taught in class, but what they \u201cencounter\u201d every hour of their daily lives: <strong>images, videos, news, advertisements, influencers and digital narratives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the manual places media literacy in a <strong>broader social justice framework<\/strong>, recognizing that the media are not neutral. Through images, narratives and speech, they <strong>reproduce<\/strong> and <strong>naturalize<\/strong> gender stereotypes, <strong>influencing<\/strong> the way children and young people perceive themselves and others.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The third cycle of the School of No Bias project is implemented by WHEN as part of the programme \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/actionaid.gr\/power\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">POWER \u2013 Promoting Organisations\u2019 empoWErment to guarantee women\u2019s human Rights and stop gender violence<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d. POWER aims to empower Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Italy, Greece and Spain to protect, promote and foster broad recognition of the fundamental rights of women and femininities, as well as to combat gender-based violence. <\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">POWER is co-funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV \u2013 2023 \u2013 DAPHNE) and is implemented under the coordination of We World (WW), in partnership with ActionAid Hellas (AAH) and Asociaci\u00f3n Bienestar y Desarrollo (ABD).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Funded by the European Union.
