A room of their own: WHEN\u2019s program for emerging women writers begins!<\/h6>\n

WHEN<\/strong>, in collaboration with WHEN Hub<\/strong> and with the support of the Est\u00e9e Lauder Emerging Leaders Fund<\/strong> and Vital Voices<\/strong>, is thrilled to announce the launch of the program \u201cA Room of Their Own<\/strong>\u201d, aimed at empowering young and underrepresented women writers<\/strong> in Greece. The program seeks to educate<\/strong>, connect<\/strong>, and promote<\/strong> creators by offering a safe, creative, and supportive environment.<\/p>\n

What stories do young creators have to tell, especially those who may not have access to education<\/strong>, networks<\/strong>, publishing opportunities<\/strong>, or even simply a space<\/strong> where they can write without distractions? How can the voices of these writers -who may be marginalized because of their age, nationality, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background- enrich and transform contemporary literary production in its broadest sense<\/strong>: in theatre, film, poetry, prose, and beyond?<\/p>\n

The \u201cA Room of Their Own\u201d program aims to answer these questions and fill this gap by creating an inclusive literary community<\/strong> that amplifies women\u2019s voices and promotes equality through the power of storytelling.
\nWhat does the program include?<\/p>\n

What does the program include?<\/h6>\n

\u2013Educational masterclasses<\/a><\/strong> with acclaimed Greek women authors, where participants will develop creative writing skills.<\/p>\n

\u2013Creation of a writers\u2019 community<\/strong>, with free access to the WHEN Hub co-working space and creative childcare. The community will hold monthly meetings for exchange, inspiration, and mutual support and will have access to networking and visibility opportunities through the program.<\/p>\n

\u2013Digital publication<\/strong> of selected literary works by participants, serving as a tool for social change and advocacy for gender equality.<\/p>\n

\u2013Residency of an international author<\/strong> at WHEN Hub, who will lead one of the masterclasses and participate in the program\u2019s closing event.<\/p>\n

\u2013Social media campaign<\/strong> and public reading<\/strong> of participants\u2019 works at the end of the program.<\/p>\n
