After 13 years of impact, Women On Top is becoming WHEN!<\/b><\/h6>\n

Our name has been a central element of our organization\u2019s identity from the very beginning – it’s hard to find someone that hadn\u2019t noticed it! So central, in fact, that over the years we had included special Q&A sections on the FAQ page of our website to explain how we chose it and why it is what it is.<\/span><\/p>\n

We loved our name, and it kept us good company up to this point. Now, 13 years after the day it all began, the time has come to change it.<\/span><\/p>\n

But why?<\/b><\/h6>\n

Because a living organization evolves with its era, and WoT now needs a new identity that encompasses everything we\u2019ve built in recent years. A name that \u201cspeaks\u201d to inclusion in the way we strive to embed it in all our projects and actions.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, you will be called WHEN from now on. How did you come up with it? Does it symbolize something?<\/b><\/h6>\n

Initially, we thought of it as an acronym for <\/span>Women\u2019s Hub for Empowerment & Networking<\/span><\/i>. But we quickly realized that our organization has grown into something much bigger than that. So, we decided to keep WHEN as a standalone word, accompanied by the terms \u201cEquity, Empowerment, Change.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

After all, WHEN means \u201cwhen?\u201d\u2014a word we often use wondering when things will improve regarding gender equality.<\/span><\/p>\n

It also means \u201cwhen…\u201d and we\u2019d like to use it to remind everyone that <\/span>when<\/span><\/i>\u00a0women work, <\/span>when<\/span><\/i>\u00a0they have the support they need, <\/span>when<\/span><\/i>\u00a0individuals are equal regardless of their gender, then great things can happen!<\/span><\/p>\n

Does changing your name mean the organization is changing too?<\/b>
\n<\/span><\/h6>\n

Not at all! Our vision remains a world in which all women have the opportunity to become what they want and can be. And our mission is still to contribute to ensuring that all women have equal access to work and public life, empowering them individually while also working to bring positive changes to their educational, professional, and social environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
