Communications Technology (ICT) sector<\/strong>, encouraging more women to enter the industry, giving them the tools they need to succeed, and promoting their <strong>equal participation<\/strong>, <strong>representation<\/strong> and <strong>treatment<\/strong> within the ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-34130\" src=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_6918-800x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_6918-800x450.jpg 800w, https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_6918-1200x675.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_6918-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_6918-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_6918-2048x1152.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In these 2 years of collaboration, the project:<\/span><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducted <strong>extensive research<\/strong> on the barriers and challenges women face in the field, informing policies and initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality in the industry.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Created <strong>tools &amp; training material<\/strong>\u00a0and collected good practices to support and help women develop in the ICT sector, which have been widely disseminated and used by stakeholders in a variety of projects and initiatives.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Implemented <strong>trainings and workshops<\/strong> to empower every stakeholder (HR executives, policy makers &amp; industry professionals) to promote gender equality and inclusion in the ICT sector.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organized <strong>awareness campaigns<\/strong>, information events and webinars in each partner&#8217;s country to highlight the importance of gender equality in the ICT sector, reaching a wide audience and encouraging the dialogue.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Through the FEMIN-ICT project, we developed <strong>strategies<\/strong> and created <strong>tools<\/strong> to strengthen the access and employability of women in the ICT sector, we provided direct <strong>support<\/strong> and <strong>motivation<\/strong> to women interested in the field of Technology through <strong>mentoring<\/strong> programs, <strong>skills<\/strong> development and <strong>networking<\/strong> opportunities, and we partnered with organizations, providing tools to help them create environments that promote <strong>diversity<\/strong> and <strong>gender equality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34140\" src=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_0964.heic\" alt=\"\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-34146\" src=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/feminict-800x595.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"595\" srcset=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/feminict-800x595.jpg 800w, https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/feminict-768x571.jpg 768w, https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/feminict.jpg 1045w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The FEMIN-ICT tools:<\/span><\/h6>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/FEMIN-ICT-a4-overall-report.docx-1.pdf.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Current State Analysis (PR1)<\/a>:<\/strong> We created questionnaires to collect experiences and find out more about the obstacles and difficulties that women are facing in the ICT sector, along with opinions and ideas from companies\/employers in the field and the ecosystem as a whole, on how they can bridge the gap and welcome more women into the industry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Training Program (PR2):<\/strong> We developed <a href=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/en\/methodology-for-creating-more-gender-responsive-ecosystems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>methodology<\/strong><\/a> as an Open Educational Resource platform with a gender equality training program for employers, business support organizations, and local governments, which also includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/en\/ergaleiothiki-gia-ton-schediasmo-choron-ergasias-filikon-pros-toys-goneis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>toolkit<\/strong><\/a> for creating care-friendly workplaces.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/en\/empowerment-program-for-women-in-the-ict-sector\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Empowerment Program<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/en\/empowerment-program-for-women-in-the-ict-sector\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> (PR3)<\/a>:<\/strong> We created a program and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PL06FOXHYChoQfmDTveOOuobTBUybJLPoh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">collected experiences of women<\/a> active in the field, creating an archive of interviews of female role models in Technology, with short videos and presentations that encourage and inspire, offering encouragement and motivation to more women to pursue a career in IT &amp; New Technologies.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/en\/barriers-actionable-steps-for-womens-representation-in-the-ict-sector\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Strategic Policy Map (PR4)<\/a>:<\/strong> We formulated a thorough examination of gender equality policies at both European and national level, with a particular focus on the field of Information Technology and New Technologies. The tool is the result of extensive research, interviews and focus groups and has led to actionable proposals addressing the pressing issue of gender inequality in the field, aiming to influence corporate and government practices for the equal participation and promotion of women in the ICT sector.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The team of WHEN is very proud to have been a part of this program!
