When is the right moment to open this discussion and how can we answer their questions in a simple and understandable way?<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u200bWHEN<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong>It\u2019s Just Period<\/strong> and with the support of <strong>LIDL Hellas<\/strong>, is organizing an online workshop for parents and caregivers, based on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/me-to-ni-kai-me-to-stigma-odigos-gia-goneis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new guide<\/a><\/strong> we created as part of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/when.org.gr\/stopperiodpoverty-mia-protovoylia-gia-tin-antimetopisi-tis-ftocheias-periodoy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#StopPeriodPoverty initiative<\/a><\/strong>. The workshop aims to offer practical knowledge, tools and confidence to parents and caregivers across Greece, so that they can approach the topic with naturalness and honesty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/Vr6HxhwlQy-511YJFMhZJQ#\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Online workshop, Wednesday 20\/5 @ 18.00-20.00<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>During the workshop we will discuss:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why do <strong>conversations at home<\/strong> shape children\u2019s attitudes towards their bodies and periods?<\/li>\n<li>How are <strong>stereotypes<\/strong> and <strong>stigma<\/strong> around menstruation created and reproduced?<\/li>\n<li><strong>When and how<\/strong> can we talk about period at different ages (from childhood to adolescence)?<\/li>\n<li>How do we answer children\u2019s <strong>difficult or unexpected questions<\/strong>?<\/li>\n<li>How can we <strong>support children<\/strong> when their first period is approaching or starting?<\/li>\n<li>How do we cultivate an <strong>open, safe and without shame discussion<\/strong> about the body and its changes?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To the discussion will participate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ioanna Tsiaousi<\/strong> MD, MBA, PhD, FECSM, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, President and Co-Founder of \u201cWHF\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Papakonstantinou Aikaterini<\/strong> MD, MSc, MBA, PhD, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Vice President and Co-Founder of \u201cWHF\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Halkia Nektaria<\/strong> MD, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, President of the Medical Association of Evrytania, General Secretary and Co-Founder of \u201cWHF\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Karavida Katerina<\/strong> MD, MSc, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Coordinating Member and Co-Founder of \u201cWHF\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The workshop will provide a space for <strong>sharing experiences, questions and practical examples<\/strong>, so that parents and caregivers can leave with greater comfort and confidence about how they can open and continue these important conversations <strong>at home<\/strong>.
