With the goal of equipping <strong>future professionals<\/strong> with tools and knowledge that will accompany them throughout their careers -enabling them to <strong>recognise<\/strong>, <strong>address<\/strong> and <strong>combat<\/strong> incidents of sexual harassment with <strong>sensitivity<\/strong> and <strong>effectiveness.<\/strong> The seminars will cover:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An overview of the applicable <strong>legal framework<\/strong> (criminal, civil, labour and disciplinary law) and employees\u2019 rights in cases of sexual harassment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Practical tools<\/strong> for identifying and documenting incidents, with respect for due process and the rights of all parties involved.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <strong>psychosocial dimensions<\/strong> of trauma and ways to prevent re-victimisation during legal or institutional procedures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Stereotypes and biases<\/strong> that influence professional attitudes, and practices for conscious, non-discriminatory support.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social resistance, economic and professional <strong>factors that discourage victims<\/strong> from speaking out, and empowerment strategies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Challenges of proof<\/strong> and tools for substantiating cases in situations where evidence is limited.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upon completion, participants will gain a deeper understanding of both the <strong>institutional and human dimensions<\/strong> of sexual harassment in the workplace. The programme \u201cPreventing gender-based violence and violence against children\u201d (PREVENT) aims to prevent and combat gender-based violence (GBV) and violence against children, by supporting Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) active in these fields, in Greece and Cyprus, and by increasing their knowledge, capacity, and sustainability. PREVENT is co-funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights, and Values (CERV) programme, Bodossaki Foundation, and NGO Support Centre, with a total grant amount of \u20ac2.3 million.
